"30,000 units per hour. Every grade correct. Zero manual sorting."
FOTON-Sort P2021 is a next-generation optical chicken feet sorting system that automates the classification, grading and defect rejection process that manual sorting cannot perform at scale. It combines 360° multi-angle optical imaging with precision weight measurement at ±2g accuracy — simultaneously classifying every unit by weight, detecting surface defects, identifying quality anomalies and rejecting non-conforming product.
At 30,000 units per hour, the system replaces the labour, inconsistency and fatigue of manual grading with a repeatable, documented automated process. Developed through direct collaboration with Turkey's leading poultry producers — including Beypiliç, Şenpiliç and Erpiliç — the classification criteria are grounded in real export and retail grading requirements.
With ≥5 configurable grade classes and adaptable output count, FOTON-Sort is set up to match your specific weight bands, defect tolerances and export destination standards — not a generic off-the-shelf configuration.
Every unit inspected and classified against all seven criteria in a single automated pass. No second-pass re-inspection required.
Product loads in bulk, the system weighs and images simultaneously, AI classifies against all seven criteria, automatic sorting routes each unit to the correct output channel.
Chicken feet are loaded in bulk into the system's feed hopper. The mechanical feed system separates and singulates individual units — presenting each one individually to the weighing and imaging stations. No manual placement or orientation is required.
The system handles the full size and weight distribution of a production batch without operator adjustment — from the smallest to the largest units in the same load.
Each unit passes over the precision weighing sensor — capturing weight at ±2g accuracy. Simultaneously, 360° camera systems capture complete surface images from all angles in a single pass. Every visible surface — top, sides, bottom — is imaged without the unit being repositioned.
The AI classification engine processes weight data and all camera views simultaneously against the seven classification criteria: weight/size, ammonia burn, red spot, regional purple/gray spot, purple speck, skin integrity and incorrect cut. The verdict for all criteria is issued in the time it takes for the unit to travel through the imaging zone.
Each unit is automatically routed to its assigned output channel based on the classification result. Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3 and reject channels receive product simultaneously at full 30,000 unit/hour throughput — no bottleneck at the sort stage.
Output channel count and grade boundaries are configurable to match your specific export destination requirements or retail grade specifications. The system adapts to different market standards without hardware changes — weight bands and defect tolerances are set in software.
Built for any poultry processor producing chicken feet for export markets — where grade consistency is a commercial requirement, not a target.
Asian markets demand precise weight grading with documented certification. FOTON-Sort delivers consistent grade assignment with complete per-batch grade records.
Ammonia burn, red spot, purple discolouration and skin defects automatically rejected without slowing the line or requiring trained inspectors at the sort table.
30,000 units per hour replaces the sorting capacity of multiple manual grading stations — with consistent accuracy that doesn't degrade across shifts.
Configurable grade classes and defect tolerances enable FOTON-Sort to meet different buyer specifications from the same production line — software reconfiguration only.
Tell us your target weight bands, export markets and throughput requirements — our engineers will configure FOTON-Sort to your exact grading specification.
